When you think of former Gossip front-woman and larger-than-life rockstar personality Beth Ditto, pretty pastels are just about the last thing that come to mind… unless they’re being worn ironically, of course. However, somehow her new-for-summer collection for MAC seems to suit her to a tee – with its peppy polka dots and girlie-punk pastel nail lacquers, with just the right dash of goth-inspired shades to keep things interesting. The series of four polishes are creamy, opaque, and vibrant (save for the glossy black Nocturnelle) – perfect for a stand-out summer mani/pedi – and look almost prettier together as a series than they do separately (one color on each finger, perhaps?). The purply-pink Vagabondage looks gorgeous on any complexion, while the creamy peach Life and Beth looks great against a summer tan. And if you’re looking for an alternative to the blinding neon yellow shade that everyone’s obsessed with, try Near Beth Experience – a pastel lemon yellow! Sadly, like most awesome MAC shades, they’re limited edition – so catch them while you can!
