Since she is from right here in NJ (my home state) and pretty much remains a singular talent (not to mention a truly ahead-of-the-pack entrepreneur) in the adult industry, I figured why not indeed celebrate Joanna Angel and her BurningAngel Entertainment Co., for snagging ten 2018 Inked Award Nominations.

These nominations are a little different than AVN or any other porn industry awards in that Inked celebrates “tattooed excellence within the adult industry.”

If you are unaware, BurningAngel.com launched in 2002 as a portal for sex, rock n’ roll and pop culture. Begun by Joanna Angel and Mitch Fontaine, right out of Rutgers University as the two were, the pair made wickedly popular “alt porn,” creating a network of websites and releasing hundreds of DVD’s, featuring tatted and pierced performers at the forefront of their content. Angel skirts both the mainstream and adult world herself, having appeared in adult mag’s like AVN, Club, Hustler, and Xtreme, as well as tattoo tomes like Taboo, Inked and Savage. She has been featured on Fox News, G4 TV, and SIRIUS Radio, as a guest on the series premiere of TLC’s LA Ink and has appeared in manstream high-brow publications like The New York Times, Newsweek, Inc. Magazine, The Village Voice, Esquire UK, Details and also co-hosted the 2016 AVN Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Specifically for this year’s Inked recognition, Joanna Angel received two nominations, for “Best Group Scene” for her star turns in the movies, Big Black Cock FTW and My Killer Girlfriend. She also got a “Best Girl/Girl Scene” nomination for My Killer Girlfriend and one each for “Director of the Year” and “Female Performer of the Year.” BurningAngel Entertainment was selected for a “Studio of the Year” award nomination, as well as for DVD of the Year, for My Killer Girlfriend and Scene of the Year, for Creamy Teens, Leather and Latex and All Access POV).

Small Hands, also working out of BurningAngel, was selected for a “Male Performer of the Year” award nod.

The Inked Awards show happens this November 3rd in Edison, New Jersey.
