OhMiBod Partners & Harvard Sex Week 2018

It’s not just Halloween that’s coming. Surely Oct. 31st (and the few days before and some after) are special times for us all to dress a little naughty, act a little haughty, pretty much get out and about as characters far and away not us in real life. But it’s also during the All Hallow’s that Harvard University’s Sex Week happens (10/28-11/4 to be exact). And this year, pleasure product manufacturer OhMiBod is a corporate sponsor for the event.

The 8th annual sex week to “Ignite the conversation on sex, sexuality, & intimacy” is coordinated by Harvard’s student-run Sexual Health Education and Advocacy Throughout Harvard (SHEATH), group. The week features group discussions and open forums on various subjects important to sexual well-being. Consent, birth control, dating, religious views on sexuality, feminist porn, kink and sex work/workers will be addressed in various education seminars. Truly, this outing, normalizing, frank—call it what you will—approach to sex is surely needed as young adults who populate college campus might just be some of the most sexually active people we have in our population. They, as we all, should be well equipped with as much current information there is about that which is so important to us all.

This more detailed rundown is from the Sex Week’s website:

Harvard Sex Week is an annual week of events, ranging from interactive workshops, to lectures, to facilitated discussions, all focusing on issues of sex, sexual health, sexuality, gender, gender identity, relationships, and more. Founded in 2011, Sex Week intends to promote a week of programming that is interdisciplinary, thought-provoking, scholastic, innovative, and applicable to student experiences in order to promote a holistic understanding of sex and sexuality. Our goal is to connect diverse individuals and communities both within and beyond Harvard through common human experiences, and to open up campus dialogue about these important issues.

OhMiBod released their music-driven vibrator in 2006, with co-founders Suki and Brian Dunham proudly maintaining a commitment to excellence in innovative adult pleasure products. The pair as well as their company supports honest and open attitudes toward sexuality and sexual wellness, so joining with Harvard’s Sex Week is the perfect match. Manufacturers like OhMiBod keep the discussion about our wellness and sexual health at the forefront by producing safe, fun and innovative adult ‘toys.’ Without a consitent openness about our humanness, no matter what part of our humanness we are exploring, we truly cannot act to the very best of our capabilities.

Suki and Brian, as well as their company, supports honest and open attitudes, this consitent openness, toward sexuality and sexual wellness, OhMiBod joining with Harvard’s Sex Week is truly the perfect match.
