Romaplasm
(Anticon)
RomaplasmĀ opens withĀ āYeomanā a track which like many others could do without the vocals.
The instrumentals still have the signature stutter step sound (see āHuman Bogā), but thereās something missing. The factor that pulled listeners into previous albums.
āAdam Copiesā is fast, frantic, and fascinating with electronic beats and layers that seem to be racing against each other. The urgency of the lyrics and vocal delivery matches the instrumentals.
Doesnāt have the sonic intrigue of Cerulean or the depth of Obsidian. But artists should change, grow, create something different so in that sense you canāt complain.
If youāre looking for something light and upbeat then this is it. Thereās still something dreamlike aboutĀ Romaplasm.
