Creating a grainy effect not unlike an old reel of film, videos of magazine subjects were projected onto brick walls at Industria Studios in the Meatpacking district for
The Visionary World of Vogue Italia opening inspired by the publicationās 50thĀ anniversary and sponsored by Peroni. Loud music and the bantering of chicly outfitted attendees over beer and champagne filled the industrial space. Video displays were coupled with headphones for easy listening. A host of subjects were represented including Oliver Stone, Usher and Christian Louboutin. The video featuring Manolo Blahnik was playful and featured gorgeous shots of jeweled stilettos, while Quentin Tarantinoās interview was interesting with quotes from Vogue Italiaās interview displayed at intervals, like, āWhen people ask me if I went to film school I tell them āno, I went to films.āā
