Technically, Vera Wang Lovestruck Floral Rush is a sequel, but it is really meant to be a prequel to Wang’s fragrance narrative. Lovestruck Floral Rush ($68, 1.7 oz.) is an enchanting perfume evoking the excitement of love (or smell) at first sight. The fragrance notes include champagne, pink pepper, apricot blossom, pink passion flower, marigold, white freesia, ambergris, musk and cashmere wood with pink pepper being the dominant note. Lovestruck Floral Rush is spicier than floral with minimal staying power. The perfume comes in a purple square bottle with a fussy decorative top, which I threw away because I could never find the opening! In comparison to other summer fragrances Lovestruck Floral Rush falls short; not in scent quality, but staying power, cost, and packaging.
