THE SEX FILES: Vacation Time
Taking a vacation this summer? Let me hip you to a few erotic happenings you might want to take yourself and your family (over 18 please) out to.
At one of my most favorite places in the U.S. (naughty or otherwise) Harry Mohneyâs Erotic Heritage Museum (see my interview with Dr. Victoria Hartmann, PH.D, their director here) has unveiled its newest interactive exhibit (and this museum is one place where visitors can really benefit from interaction) âEarth, Magic, Sex, Motion.â
This new exhibition features the Worldâs Largest Erotic Bicycle, something visitors can ride solo or with friends. Built in house, the bike is two stories high and has been applied to be in both Ripleyâs Believe it or Not and The Guinnessâ Book of World Records.
This one-of-a-kind invention is at the EHM presently, alongside the Reverend Philâs âBike Smutâ project. Bike Smut was created in 2007 with the aid of Portlandâs Sex-Positive Biker Community. Together, Reverend Phil and the bikers made short, radically pleasing films about bikes and sex to help spread a message of joy and liberation through sexuality and cycling. This showing at the museum will showcase the groupâs ninth film with their signature style of filmography, to accompany the new exhibit.

Outside of the U.S., Passarella Death Squad and PENTHOUSE are collaborating on their âVideodromeâ exhibition that will appear in three different cities throughout the month of July: Brussels, London and Tokyo. One can also see t-shirts from the exhibit (and whatâs a vacation without a t-shirt?) displayed at Hunting and Collecting Select Store in Brussels, Belgium. Recognized worldwide for their unique product selection and ever-evolving store design, Hunting and Collecting is an international platform for contemporary fashion, design, culture and lifestyle and is the only store in Brussels to be recognized as an Adidas Consortium account.
Following a two-week exhibition in Brussels, the collection will move back to London and onto the walls of the Aria there. At the end of the month, the collection will move to SuperAMarket in Tokyo, Japan. A unique store concept featuring a restaurant along with all of the latest fashions, SuperAMarket will sell the tees and prints as well as exhibit vintage PENTHOUSE Magazines for customers to peruse while checking out the collaboration.

Of course one needs to look chic when visiting these or any other places. Might I suggest a bold fashion choice for the bold lady; the 5050 RGB LED strip. Women in Japan are taking to wearing this little strip of lights encased in plastic under their skirts. See here how these lights are all the up-skirt rage: http://likes.com/humaninterest/only-in-japan-the-led-illuminated-upskirt-skirt-1?page=5.
