Rockn Rolla Eco Party @ the Mary Pickford Estate, 4/11/13
Benefitting the Whole Planet Foundation, We Rock Green Mics youth development literacy program, and Rescue Bank animal rescue and rehab, the Rockn Rolla Eco Lounge celebration of the 2013 MTV Movie Awards nominees served up an awesome afternoon of music, food, and drink.
Held April 11th at the beautiful Mary Pickford estate in Hancock Park, producer Debbie Durkin’s third annual event included eco-luxury gifting, delicious dining, and stellar musical treats, all supporting great causes.
Under sunny blue skies, the sparkling estate lawn held a delicious buffet catered by Whole Foods, from vegan and turkey sandwich wraps to organic breakfast pastries and fruit, Greek yogurt, and coconut water. Lifeway Foods offered frozen kefir in a variety of tasty fruit flavors. Arta Tequila served delicious citrus mojitos to sip while attendees enjoyed the sounds of musical acts including the indie folk styling of Nicole Lexi Davis, the ebullient rock and roll of bands The Palace Ballroom and Stolen Rhodes, the smooth melodies of Natalie Gelman, the kinetic sounds of DJ Vanilla Chilla, and many more fine performers throughout the day.
Guests strolled the grassy enclave, learning about the missions behind the charitable organizations benefiting from the event, and receiving fabulous treats from attending sponsors. Jose Eber Salon Products offered the ultimate in styling technology, providing infrared technology hair dryers, as well as styling treats on site. L’Arganium’s lavender and lime scented oils and lotions gifted skin soothing, anti-aging, all organic products. Amella’s chocolate carmels – try the chocolate fudge, L.A. + Joe’s silky woven scarves, Minky Couture’s delightful plush dog or baby blankets, Eco Dogs & Cats vegan pet products, and Growlers Goods dog attire, all offered fantastic products for the attending nominees and supporters. Stephanie G’s on-site eyelash products glamorized the women in attendance, along with .O.P.I.’s Euro Centrale Collection nail polish in a variety of shades.
Supporting National Pet Day, Kelly Guldi of PupChips donated 72,000 bags of treats to Rescue Bank, aiding countless animals in need.
