While it might not be cool, it’s hard not to love the latest Maroon 5 release. Adam Levine may be known in the mainstream for his popular reality music show, The Voice, but Maroon 5′s latest release, Overexposed, shows that it’s still rocking smooth vocals that he’s best at.

Overexposed is not going to be the hipster indie dance album of the year. This is pure, mainstream radio-rock fun at it’s finest. Previewed last summer on The Voice, “Moves Like Jagger” really sets the tone for the album. A little bit of autotune, a lot of dance moves and a few “ooo”‘s create a fun song you won’t be able to get out of your head. Yes, this track, like many others on this album, is an earworm that will stick with you for weeks. The lead single, “Payphone,” is a bit more on the pop side, but it’s still a great dance track. Looking to stay on your feet? Fast-forward to “Ladykiller,” “Lucky Strike” and “One More Night.” Want to slow things down for a romantic evening or slow night? Skip ahead and listen to “The Man Who Never Lied,” “Sad,” and “Beautiful Goodbye.”

Overall, you won’t be able to get this album out of your head. That’s a great thing if you stay open to this purely fun, guilty pleasure album. So be sure to pick up Overexposed and dance along as soon as you can. Your summer will thank you!
