Blackheads are stubborn, deeply rooted problems for some people. Joey New York is one of the most featured skincare lines on the HSN and they have come up with Joey New York Bye Bye Blackheads, a gel mask to treat blackheads and to exfoliate skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The clear gel is made of coconut water, ginseng, vitamin E, salicylic acid, and a lot of alcohol. When applying the topical treatment, you can’t miss the potent alcohol smell. The concept is like any other peel away mask. You apply the gel to your skin for a spell, and then you peel or roll the products off and rinse any leftover residue with warm water. Notwithstanding its unforgiving chemical smell, I didn’t see a difference in my skin or pores. Plus, as embedded as blackheads are, it is hard to conceive that a gel can effectively banish them away. The cost outweighs its efficacy and you are better off buying a peel away mask from your local drugstore.
