A week after Hurricane Sandy and just days after Athena, the EXXXOTICA convention still managed to rock over 100 stars (Tera Patrick, Ron Jeremy, Tara Lynn to name but a few) and an equal amount of distributors (Munkey-Barz , the infamous “Jesus Loves Porn” people I have talked to every time for their take on God and Porn and all things in between, the www.chaturbate.com service, local doms and some truly cool tricked-out cars) in its 5^th year at the N.J. Convention & Exposition Center down in the bucolic environs of Edison, NJ.

The RealTouch Entertainment Stage (R.T. being one of our old friends and a sponsor at EXXXOTICA) featured arguably the biggest highlight, a Saturday night performance by Naughty By Nature and in a real show of giving back, Three Expo Events, the people who run EXXXOTICA, managed to amass food, clothing, household goods and much needed money ($5,000 actually) for the not-for-profit Relief for Little Ferry and Moonachie Fund. I’m not sure if you caught the specific news reports about N.J. towns Little Ferry and Moonachie, but they got slammed from Sandy bad.


I attended EXXXOTICA Friday as I always do, it being a “Ladies Free Friday” as well as first day (Sunday was a “Veteran’s Free Day”) and caught a good amount of old friends setting-up, met some people I have interviewed for us here and basically got the lay (no pun intended) of the land. The afore mentioned hot cars helped to truly fill the cavernous space, there were equally hot girls (and a few dudes) dancing at various stations and newly vamped food offerings (thank God!) and really everybody was having a good time displaying their wares (though this year’s show was slightly bereft of free samples from vendors).

I spun through the mock dungeon area (purely for research purposes, and actually to visit an old friend), marveled at floggers, art work, and the huge middle area set-up for porn star signings (right about the time I was leaving things were fully underway for these women to meet and greet their fans…always a big part of this convention) but generally my spin through EXXXOTICA, whether I got to ask Taylor Stevens about her time spent behind the Devil’s bench during the hockey playoffs, or talking to Kelly Shibari over the state of BBWs in porn, seeing some super cool new products on display it was as good a time as it always is for me.
