Falling into Fall with Autumn Hill Soy Candles
Fall is here and there’s no better way than to bring a sense of warmth and comfort to the home than with a candle. But did you know paraffin candles have a negative impact on the environment? Soy candles are a more environmentally friendly alternative and are becoming increasingly popular. What’s more, they even burn three times longer than paraffin wax candles. Autumn Hill Candle Company is based out of Maine and specializes in soy candle making. This family- owned business spent 8 years perfecting their wares and has a lovely selection of scents for the fall.
Note: Because there are no artificial dyes used at Autumn Hill, all of the candles have the same color of soy wax in its natural state, hence, the need was eliminated to picture each scent. There are two sizes however- a 19 oz Colonial Jar with a burn time of 108-145 hours and a 7 oz Country Jar with a burn time of 40-55 hours. Those are featured below.
1. Autumn Kitchen
This may be my favorite out of all the scents in their fall collection. It has the aroma of cinnamon with a touch of pecans and spiced plums.
2. Pumpkin Pie
Who doesn’t love pumpkin everything in the fall? This candle smells good enough to eat, although I don’t recommend that! Notes of sugar, butter, and other seasonal spices compliment the pumpkin fragrance.
3. Apple Orchard
Another staple for the fall is apple picking. The Apple Orchard candle blends Macintosh, Red Delicious, Fuji, and Granny Smith apples with woodsy undertones.
