JEFF The Brotherhood: Global Chakra Rhythms
Jeff the Brotherhood
Global Chakra Rhythms
(Infinity Cat Recordings)
Tennessee brothers Jake and Jamin Orrall of the band, JEFF the Brotherhood recently released their new record, Global Chakra Rhythms. On the album, any devoted listener will recognize that this duo continues to produce their signature sound of psychedelic, garage rock and the end product is certainly not a disappointment. The record begins with the appropriately titled song, âGlobal Chakra Rhythms,â and with its stylized organ that seems like an homage to a vintage horror movie that then morphs into a head-bobbing beat, one can expect to be taken on an unrefined and mind-altering journey. As the record continues, it is safe to say that this might be one of JEFF the Brotherhoodâs most psychedelic albums to date. Another song that highlights this assumption is the cleverly titled, âRadiating Fiber Plane.â This track is a much more relaxed tune, but in their mellowness, the brothers begin to show the range they possess as musicians. While there may be some more restrained songs on this record, they still remain songs drenched in noise and chaos. If someone is craving some down-home, good garage rock with clever song titles and the feeling of cracking open a PBR with some friends, JEFF the Brotherhood will satisfy any craving for such a desire.
