Oh, Gwen! How Iā€™ve missed you! Itā€™s been a bit of time since weā€™ve heard some music. Seeing you on The Voice regularly has been a tease. But letā€™s not dwell on the what-ifā€™s and focus on the now. Gwen has this uncanny swag and undeniable style both on and off her records. ā€œSend Me a Pictureā€ has aĀ reggae, popish, too-cool sound and is so relevant to the social media-driven society in which we live. Itā€™s flirty, fun and club-ready. ā€œUsed to Love Youā€ taps into the truth section of the album, focusing on the bittersweet feelings after a break-up. ā€ I donā€™t know why I cry/But I think itā€™s cause I remembered for theĀ first time/Since I hated you/That I used to love you.ā€ Those are powerful lyrics. One thing I love best about Stephani is her ability to merge styles and still be authentic. ā€œLovableā€ proves that. Itā€™s trap, a bit R&B and pop still the same. ā€œMe Without Youā€ is the Gwen I grew up loving! I honestly would have preferred it to a more rock track but, all in all, its a great song. Thereā€™s a real powerful message in it. ā€œGetting Warmerā€ is catchy with beautiful melodies. It fits her vibe and is perfect for cruising on a summer day. Her vocals are great and complement the track. I could get used to her being back. I hope to see a visual soon!
